Congratulations to Emma & David for tieing the knot at Penwortham Methodist Church and celebrating the rest of their day at Singleton Lodge Country House Hotel. It was a really fantastic day, with a little splash of geek, a fun photobooth and a great family atmosphere. We totally dig the Cardis! You can view their short wedding film below.
We asked Emma and David a few questions about how they met etc …
1. How did you meet?
We met at Edge Hill university, we did the same course. We started dating in the second year of university. We got married the day after our 6 year anniversary.
2. Who proposed and how?
David proposed. He had the plan to go on a day trip to Blackpool and propose there, however I said I didn’t want to go out that weekend anymore so he proposed the night before while we were getting ready for bed. I had just taken all of my makeup off and got into my pyjamas. I looked so glamorous. It was just at home nothing fancy but perfect for us. I’m secretly very glad it happened like that and not in the middle of Blackpool as I didn’t need random strangers seeing my happy cry face.
3. How did you choose your wedding venue?
We actually had a venue sorted in Preston however it was sold in September 2015, so we had to find a new venue quite quickly. We looked at a number of different ones but narrowed it down by availability of date. We fell in love as soon as we saw Singleton Lodge it had everything we wanted from our venue, a large enough main room, a seating area outside the main evening reception area, lovely food, great staff and lovely grounds. Plus it had alpacas that was an amazing bonus.
